Witherspoon Visits Youth to Encourage Healthy Eating Habits

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Titans Linebacker and grass-fed beef farmer Will Witherspoonengaged students in a discussion on healthy eating during a visit to the East Park Community Center this past Friday, Sept.  21. Witherspoon visited with students in the center’s after-school program on sustainable living and healthy eating. The visit was in coordination with Witherspoon’s upcoming charity event, Farm to Table (on Oct. 15), which will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee’s Children’s Feeding Programs.
East Coleman Kids Café site, located at East Park, is part of Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee’s Children's Feeding Programs.  Kids Cafés provide free meals and snacks to low-income children, targeting children at risk of hunger. Second Harvest’s goal is to provide these children the physical and emotional nourishment critical to healthy development. Witherspoon stopped by the Kids Café to spend time with and to educate the children the benefits of healthy eating and living.
