Caleb King promoted from practice squad

The Minnesota Vikings replaced Adrian Peterson on their roster Monday by putting the veteran on injured reserve and promoting rookie Caleb King from the practice squad.

King was signed by the Vikings in late August after not being selected in the supplemental draft. King entered that draft after being ruled academically ineligible in early July.
