The Giants began trimming their roster to the mandatory limit Friday and released running back D.J. Ware, according to the New York Daily News. Ware, who recorded only one carry over the last two exhibition games, has been with the Giants since the 2007 season. He had been competing to stay in the mix for a reserve role to starting running back Ahmad Bradshaw during the preseason.
