Former Georgia Bulldog Kade Weston signs with the Edmonton Eskimos


Edmonton Eskimos: Oct 1, 2012 -  The Edmonton Eskimos have signed import defensive tackle Kade Weston and import linebacker Kye Stewart.

Weston comes to the Eskimos after spending time with the Pittsburgh Steelers. In 2010, he was drafted by the New England Patriots in the seventh round (248th overall) of the NFL Draft. The following year, he was added to the practice roster of the Indianapolis Colts. Weston played college football at the University of Georgia with Eskimo defensive end Marcus Howard. There, he played in 48 career games, recoding 78 tackles and two sacks. He was also named to the All-SEC third team in 2009.

Eskimo General Manger Eric Tillman says “Kade gives us a physical dimension on inside that we believe will be beneficial to our defence.”
